Three Paths to Recovery Through Legal Process

When a supplier refuses to cooperate, the only language they understand is a court order or arbitration award. We handle everything — filing, evidence, hearings, enforcement — while you stay home. You pay a base fee, plus a contingency only if we recover.

Chinese Court Litigation
Full court representation in Chinese civil courts. File, fight, win, enforce.
from $3,000 base + 15-25% contingency
Typical timeline: 6-12 months (first instance)
  • Case filing and court fee coordination
  • Evidence preparation and submission
  • All court hearings (first instance)
  • Cross-examination of defendant's evidence
  • Court liaison and procedural management
  • Judgment enforcement coordination
  • Communication with client throughout (English)
  • Court fees (paid by client, separate from legal fees)
  • Appeal proceedings (separate engagement)
  • Asset tracing post-judgment (that's Tier 3)

Fee structure: Base fee: $3,000-$8,000 depending on complexity, court location, and amount in dispute. Contingency: 15-25% of recovered amount.

Asset Recovery & Enforcement
Post-judgment enforcement. You won the case — now you need to actually get the money.

  • Application for asset preservation (freezing orders)
  • Bank account attachment
  • Property seizure coordination with local courts
  • Enforcement proceedings management
  • Communication with enforcement court
  • Communication with client throughout (English)
  • Original court case (that's Tier 1 or 2)

Why Base Fee + Contingency?

You pay a base fee that covers our filing, evidence preparation, and court work. Then we take a percentage of the recovered amount — but only if we recover. This means:

(1) You're not paying us to lose. (2) We're incentivized to recover maximum amount, not just bill hours. (3) We won't take hopeless cases on contingency — which means if we take your case, we believe in it.

Four Steps from Dispute to Recovered Funds

You don't need to be in China. In most cases, you never need to appear in person. We handle everything remotely and keep you informed in English throughout.

What This Isn't

We believe in telling you what we don't do — it saves everyone time and builds trust.

We are not a debt collection agency

We don't harass suppliers or use intimidation tactics. We use legal process — courts, arbitration, and enforcement — to recover your money lawfully.

We don't handle criminal cases

If your case involves criminal fraud, we can file a criminal complaint as a supplement to civil recovery, but our primary work is civil litigation and arbitration.

We don't guarantee outcomes

No lawyer can guarantee a win. What we guarantee is honest assessment, diligent representation, and a fee structure where we only profit when you do.

Litigation & Arbitration Questions

What are court fees and how much are they?
Court fees are government-mandated charges separate from our legal fees. In Chinese civil courts, they typically range from 1-2% of the claim amount, capped at around RMB 500,000. CIETAC arbitration fees are higher, typically 1-4% of the claim. We provide a full cost estimate before you commit.
How long does litigation take in China?
Court litigation (first instance) typically takes 6-12 months. CIETAC arbitration is usually faster at 4-9 months. Enforcement after winning takes another 3-9 months depending on asset availability. We'll give you a realistic timeline based on your specific case, court location, and complexity.
What if I lose the case?
If we lose, you don't pay the contingency fee — only the base fee. We minimize this risk by thoroughly assessing your case before taking it on. We don't take cases we don't believe we can win. If your case has significant risk, we'll tell you before you commit.
Can I appeal if I lose?
Yes. Chinese civil procedure allows one appeal to the intermediate court. Appeal proceedings are a separate engagement with a separate fee arrangement. We'll discuss appeal options if the first-instance outcome isn't favorable.
I already won my case but can't get the money. Can you help?
Yes — that's exactly what Tier 3 (Asset Recovery & Enforcement) is for. Many foreign buyers win judgments but can't enforce them because they don't have local enforcement expertise. We trace assets, apply for freezing orders, and coordinate with enforcement courts to actually get your money.
