Two Tiers of Dispute Assessment

From a quick case assessment to a full legal strategy report. Every tier is prepared by a licensed PRC lawyer who analyzes your case under Chinese law — not a consultant, not a middleman. Every tier credits toward higher tiers, so you never lose money by starting small. Need a formal demand letter? See our Legal Demand Letter service.

Three Steps from Dispute to Action Plan

Send us your case files, get a licensed PRC lawyer's assessment and strategy, then take action with confidence.

What This Isn't

We believe in telling you what we don't do — it saves everyone time and builds trust.

We are not a negotiation service

Assessment and strategy are analytical work. Ongoing negotiation with the supplier is billed separately at $250/hour. Need a formal demand letter? See our Legal Demand Letter service.

We don't file court cases at this tier

Assessment is pre-litigation. If you need to file in court, that's Litigation & Arbitration.

We don't guarantee a specific outcome

We assess, strategize, and apply legal pressure. The outcome depends on the supplier's response, available assets, and the strength of your case.

Dispute Assessment Questions

What documents should I send for the assessment?
Everything you have: contracts, POs, PIs, email threads, WeChat/WhatsApp chats, bank transfer records, shipping documents, photos of defective goods, inspection reports. Don't worry if some are missing — we work with what exists. The more we have, the more precise the assessment.
How accurate is the recovery probability assessment?
We base it on the specific facts of your case, the supplier's legal status, the evidence available, and our experience with similar cases in Chinese courts. It's not a guarantee — it's a professional legal opinion. We've found that clients prefer honest assessments over optimistic ones, even when the news isn't great.
What if my assessment shows I should send a demand letter?
If your assessment indicates a demand letter is the right next step, we'll recommend our Legal Demand Letter service (from $299). Your assessment fee credits toward the demand letter within 30 days, so you don't pay twice for the same analysis.
Can the dispute be resolved without going to court?
Yes, and it often does. A formal demand letter from a licensed Chinese lawyer carries real legal weight — many suppliers settle at this stage rather than face court. The assessment helps you decide if this approach makes sense for your case.
What if my assessment shows I don't have a case?
Then we tell you honestly. We don't take cases we can't win. If your case isn't viable under Chinese law, we'll explain why and suggest alternatives — which might include negotiating directly, or in rare cases, walking away. The $399 you spent on the assessment just saved you thousands in legal fees on a losing case.
